I worked for a decade within the NHS before leaving in 2018 to concentrate fully on my private practice in Hove and online. I have trained in numerous psychotherapeutic approaches so now work integratively meaning I can tailor my approach to suit your evolving needs over the course of therapy. The approaches I draw on are Schema Therapy, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, CBT, sensorimotor, focussing and Jungian Psychology. Whether you are looking for the pragmatism of a solution focussed approach, a slower and deeper exploration of the past and its ongoing impact or a somatic focus to understand how your body is keeping the score of past experiences, then I am trained to work in all these ways. I also offer Sandplay Therapy which is a largely non verbal approach to therapy and can help to express hidden feelings and perspectives that can be hard to access through talking alone.
My expertise lies in working with longer-standing issues and ones that repeat over time. Perhaps you have periods of doing well but fall back into depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties or hit a wall with progress in your life or career, then here I can help you to get to the root of these patterns.
The areas I work with are: low self esteem, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, Narcissism, children of Narcissistic parents, complex PTSD, emotional instability, attachment wounds, imposter syndrome, victims of emotional abuse and gaslighting.

My Therapeutic Approach
I work somatically (understanding how the body is holding past experiences), verbally with talk therapies such as Schema Therapy (a mix of psychodynamic, Gestalt and Object relations) and CBT and with the unconscious via sandplay therapy which is a powerful approach to helping people express symbolically what is hard to put into words.
