My Therapeutic Approach
My approach is psychoanalytical and relational. I offer a high degree of empathy, enabling a trusting therapeutic relationship so that the issues from which your symptoms may arise can be gradually explored. .Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is a particular method of exploring the "unthought known", the less conscious parts of the person which may be causing problems such as acting against your own interests, difficulties in finding your own voice and asserting yourself. reluctance to leave a difficult relationship or finding it difficult to make a secure attachment. At an initial consultation.you will be able to find out if my approach seems helpful to you.
My Background
My qualifications were obtained at The Institute of Psychotherapy and Social Studies : Diploma in Psychotherapy - 1986, and Regent's College, London: Masters in the Psychology of Counselling and Therapy - 1986.. I had an internship at The Henderson Hospital in Surrey and The Post- Adoption Centre.
