Are you arguing with your partner all the time? Or perhaps there aren't arguments, but an atmosphere that makes every day life difficult to get through when you're around each other. You might have found out your partner is having an affair. Or maybe things are just a bit tough and you need some support. Being able to communicate with your partner is so important to having a good relationship, being heard and feeling listened to is key to this. Relationship therapy can really help you to feel understood and understand your partner, and can help build a more positive future for you. Doing something about being stuck in a relationship rut or tackling big issues can be difficult on your own. Knowing how to address problems without causing more upset can be tough. Don't struggle alone, getting help can really make a difference to your relationship. Reach out for support and we can work together to help make change possible.

I work in a client centred way, focussing on what you bring to the therapy room and working with the issues you feel need addressing. We take things gently, but at the same time always remaining curious about why something is hard to talk about or what's not being said that should be said. I work with couples and individuals to explore their past to understand the impact it has on how you are in the present. I also encourage people to think about the structures in your life that might be helpful or not helpful, so we can work on a practical level to make adjustments or improvements.

I have 9 years experience working with couples and individuals - at Relate Brighton and privately. I offer a space where we can work practically to help improve communication quickly, which eases the tension and reduces arguments. This then enables more emotional conversations to be possible, tackling issues together that haven't been possible on your own.
