As a humanistic Psychotherapist, I will work alongside you as a professional guide to you as the expert of your own experiencing. I can incorporate relaxation, mindfulness, CBT, gestalt models into the work, which are tailored to the needs of each unique client, so I may make suggestions or invite you to try different approaches that could be beneficial, however it is always your process that is central to the work, and as such we work together in collaboration. It is not my job to give advice, answers, or solutions but to actively listen and support you in making choices. The humanistic-existential approach focuses on each individual persons’ unique lived experience of their worlds. With an emphasis on our capacity to find meaning in our own lives, an existential phenomenological approach supports you in developing a greater awareness about the processes you go through when approaching issues in living, so as to become more aware of your own unique and real, values, beliefs, and meaning systems, developing a more healthy and harmonious sense of self.

Alongside by private practice I also work as a Psychotherapist with Horsham and Crawley Counselling Group (https://www.hccounselling.org.uk/). My working background has been working in a social care capacity with people from the young to the elderly. I have accumulated a wealth of professional, practical, legal, ethical and personal experience which I bring to my practice. My background as a counsellor has been within an onsite Psychotherapy team supporting NHS staff. Encountering a wide-ranging issues including LGBT+, cross-cultural issues, childhood trauma, traumatic workplace incidents, burn out, anxiety, bereavement, family dysfunction, stress, and depression. I work collaboratively with each client’s needs, expectations and goals throughout the process.
