I believe I offer a gentle and safe space in which you can explore, reflect and grow. I am personally interested in the power within writing, and use this medium regularly to deepen my reflections. I offer this tool in my therapeutic work. I work in Brighton, practicing in Hove and in Hanover.

I believe in the potential of each of us, and work with an understanding that this can thrive with support. Being an integrative therapist means that I offer an adaptable approach in response to each individual's needs and experience. I can work in an open-ended way, or to a time frame you may need. I offer mainly a talking therapy, but this is often enhanced through writing or drawing, use of objects and imagery. I pay close attention to what information our body can offer, and feel that 'learning ourselves' is an invaluable tool in our lives. We will work out together what feels most pressing for you to reflect on, and ensure your therapeutic journey is as useful and rich as possible. It may be that you have reached a time where you need the help of another to reflect, and find a way to move forward. Friends and family are a support but you may need additional contact outside your usual networks. Seeking counselling at times like these is common, as we instinctively know we need the presence of a non-judgemental other to help us re-consider. It may be that you are struggling with anxiety or depression, health issues or things arising from life changes. Specific challenges such as redundancy or relationship breakdown can trigger emotional responses which are extremely hard to cope with. It may also be that you have a more undefined sense of dissatisfaction, and wish to explore ideas which will strengthen you. It would be understandable that things which previously felt manageable for you have been exacerbated by this unique time, when many of our support systems and routines have fallen away. The therapeutic relationship can offer a safe and reliable space for you to feel strengthened. Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss working together, which we can do face to face or online. This initial session is charged at the same fee we would agree on for any ongoing work.

I trained to be a psychotherapist at Metanoia Institute. Moving into this profession was a natural bringing together of years of complex work helping families and their children, and a life long interest in how we learn and grow, always striving to make sense of ourselves and our lives. I have supported clients in charity settings, in private practice, and in specialist women's services. I have worked with clients for over ten years with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, anger-management, relational trauma and struggles arising from life events such as redundancy or loss.
