About Me

Sometimes we can feel like a passenger in our own life, things can feel out of control or you might not understand what has been happening. I’m here to offer you support and to help you work through whatever has brought you to this page. My experience includes extensive work with addictive behaviours, relationship problems, anxiety, depression, sexual problems, identity and loss. My job is to listen and to offer an environment where you feel safe enough to process your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. I provide a confidential and non-judgemental space that is designed to foster trust and mutual respect. This gives you the opportunity to be open and honest about what has been happening. All appointments with me are confidential and in line with all BACP ethical and professional standards. I bring experience, passion and creativity to each session and will help you to find pragmatic and sustainable solutions. Reaching out is the first step and I understand how difficult this can be. I will respond to your enquiry on the same day and can offer online counselling or face-to-face sessions in Hove. Email or call me to arrange a free initial phone appointment to discuss how the process can work for you.

Therapeutic Approach

I integrate different counselling models that depend on the needs of the client. My approach is not prescriptive, it is based on humanistic principles and incorporates CBT, existentialism and 12 step approaches.

Background

Sometimes we can feel like a passenger in our own life, things can feel out of control or you might not understand what has been happening. I’m here to offer you support and to help you work through whatever has brought you to this page. Therapy with me involves working together to clarify the issues that have brought you to seek help. We will identify any barriers to change, set goals, and find ways of developing coping skills that address your challenges. The overall goal of therapy is to help you live a more meaningful and fulfilling life. I have been practising as a therapist since 2009. I have worked in various different settings both in the community and as part of the criminal justice system. I have been in private practice since 2012 and bring a wealth of experience to my work.
