I qualified in Brief, Solution-focused Hypnotherapy back in 2000 - which feels like a long time ago now. I love helping people to neutralise their fears and phobias, build confidence and get rid of unwanted habits.

Hypnotherapy works directly with the unconscious mind and when used in a solution-focused way can be highly effective in helping you to grow beyond your limitations. I've done multiple courses in fields exploring the healing potential of the mind/body, including Integral Eye Movement Therapy (similar to EMDR), Gut-Orientated Metaphor Therapy (for IBS), Rewind Technique (for trauma) and Paediatric Hypnotherapy; but the beauty of hypnosis is its flexibility. It's a technique for almost any issue, from life transitions, such as the menopause, to social anxiety, addictions or trauma. Changes can occur from the very first session, but it's realistic to plan for somewhere between three and ten sessions to get you to where you want to be. I always record the hypnotic part of our session so that you can have access to it forever.

I've been interested in hypnosis ever since I used my dad's 'Teach Yourself' book to cure my own spider phobia. I was 12 at the time. I'm still not scared of spiders...
