I am a qualified and experienced Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. I understand life can be difficult and its easy to feel things are impossible, feeling unable to cope or out of control. You may want things to change, or want to change something about yourself. Counselling can help you understand and deal with difficult feelings and situations, counselling is not just about helping you solve problems its about helping you make positive changes and to give you the freedom to focus on yourself.
I will work with you providing a safe, non-judgmental environment working empathetically centered around you. I value the unique and individual qualities which you already hold and firmly believe that everyone has the capacity to create change and to reach their full potential, whatever has happened to us in the past. I will assist you in your journey developing your own strategies and self-awareness working within the strengths you already hold so you may feel enabled to create what is important to you and your own needs.
As well as my private practice, I have volunteered as a counsellor for St Peters & St James Hospice, Pavilions in Brighton and Hove supporting families and carers (including couples) surrounding drug and alcohol misuse and working with survivors and supporters of Rape and Sexual Abuse. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for many years supporting families and individuals in Sussex, helping them to overcome a wide range of barriers and difficulties and supporting them in creating positive changes and healthier choices.
