I am originally American and have worked in the UK for over 17 years. Overall, I have 30 years of experience with adolescents and children, parents and families. Iworked for special schools in Brighton and Hove for 15 years and I am very able to work with anxiety, autism, ADHD, adoption, foster care, trauma and histories of abuse and neglect. I work with individuals, siblings and families. I am happy to work in a flexible manner which works best for you. I am going to be a published author of the book (Pavilion Publishing): "Trauma and Teens: A Trauma-informed Guide and Toolbox for Homes and Schools " (due: Spring 2022). I am a very passionate advocate for all young people and their families. My style is relaxed, empathic and flexible towards you and your young person's needs. My website is: https://www.traumainform.com/ if you would like to know about me. I am happy to have a long chat with you on the phone/zoom and see what your needs are and see if I am a good fit for you and/or your young person.

I try and work with every young person (and their parents when helpful) in a flexible and holistic manner. I work primarily with young people but also with adults and parents who might want support. My background incorporates psychodynamic, behavioural and sensory awareness. I am approachable, positive and work in a strengths-based manner. I have a very long and large experience of many types of issues including those with anxiety, ADHD, Autism, identity, adoption, foster care and all forms of trauma, neglect and abuse. I am really passionate about my work and mostly about helping youth and you! I also happily work and link with schools (free of charge) as I really believe in working all together to better "hold" the young person and their families. Please give me a ring and we can chat, no need to commit as much of this process is finding the right "fit" for you.

I was educated in the USA and have two Masters degrees. A clinical license from University of Maryland and an International Relations degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. I have my Bachelor's degree from UCLA and I have more recently taken a 2 year long course of Forensic Psychotherapy from the Tavistock (one day a week). In the UK. I worked for 15 years for the Social, Emotional and Mental Health special schools in Brighton and Hove. I also speak French fluently and am very comfortable with varied cultures. I am also on the verge of completing a Coaching course with CMIT and can offer coaching around professional and personal growth.
