About Me

Hello, my name is Tracy and I am a qualified and experienced Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and can provide face to face, telephone or online counselling. Since 2008, I’ve helped my clients break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed with the stress of life and don’t know where to turn? If so, I may be able to help. I counsel adults and young people aged 11 to 18 years old, around a wide range of issues. These include: anxiety, family issues, depression, low self-esteem and substance misuse. I offer a safe space where you can talk openly without judgement, somewhere you can explore difficult feelings and release them. I will empower you to search within yourself and find inner strengths, helping you gain a better understanding of your thought processes as well as identifying ways of finding your own solutions.

Therapeutic Approach

As a person-centered counsellor, I work to understand your lived experience from your perspective. Person-centered counselling can help individuals of all ages, with a range of personal issues. Many people find it an appealing form of therapy as it allows them to keep control over the content and pace of sessions. My approach offers a non-judgmental environment working empathetically centered around you.

Background

As well as my private practice, I work as a counsellor at the YMCA DLG offering therapy to young people aged 11 to 18 years old. I have worked as a counsellor for a domestic abuse charity working with women survivors of domestic abuse. I have also worked with a local substance misuse service, counseling clients to over come their addictions. I worked for many years supporting families and individuals in Sussex with a variety of multiple difficulties.
