Most of us have experienced emotional neglect in the past, or may have been bullied or shamed fur example, and these experiences create negative beliefs about ourselves that tell us ‘I’m not good enough’ or ‘I have to be self reliant’ . I have helped many clients who have struggled with these negative feelings and beliefs and have helped them discover their true sense of self worth and an acceptance of themselves .
I’m trained to work integratively , which means I have a theoretical understanding of a wide range of approaches which allows for various ways of working with you.
I’m a single mum of an adult son who has a diagnosis of Asperger’s , ADHD and PDA. For many years whilst he was young , I helped other parents/carers to get help with their childrens’ educational needs . I’ve also worked within many organisations as an advisor on Housing, Homelessness and welfare Rights. I published a booklet ‘it Makes You Sick’ which highlighted the link between the low rates of benefits for young homeless people and the health effects of not being able to adequately eat which received wide media attention and is entered in Hansard. I have practised Vipassana meditation for 15 years and am also a trained EFT (emotional freedom technique) Practitioner.
