***Please email me directly, I have been receiving inquiries but through a technical fault my responses have been getting delivery failure notices and I have no way to get back in touch - use firstname.lastname@example.org Many thanks!*** I come from an embodiment background, meaning a lot of my practices have been physically focused, such as martial arts, yoga etc. I was introduced to EFT tapping in 2009, initially for sports performance, but quickly through breathwork sessions and a pull towards meditation and the more spiritual/esoteric disciplines (including an ongoing research called ‘inner dance’) I realized I was craving something a bit deeper in the sense of meaning and purpose to my life. I’ve built my ecology of practices over time, using what’s worked when it’s been needed and being fluid in my methodology. Training in embodiment coaching during the pandemic helped me pull together a few different aspects of my multidisciplinary approach, which was further consolidated by a training in EFT, NLP and Hypnotherapy. I now use a blend of everything, including light breathwork to help with getting outside of typical mental loops, and processing the feelings that tend to keep them stuck. My embodiment disciplines have centered around - Mixed Martial Arts (Boxing, Brazilian jiujitsu, Thai Boxing, Wrestling), Yoga, Breathwork, Vipassana meditation, Cold exposure, Long distance running, Cycling and more recently, Dance. The challenges I’ve had to overcome in my own life have centered around ‘nice guy’ issues, people pleasing, bad boundaries, body image, codependency, emotional numbness, communication, bullying, challenges with authenticity and assertiveness. My interest has been in the interplay between the body and the mind, how the physiology and the nervous system affects the brain and how the brain affects the physical emotional system. This has led me down some quite unusual and interesting paths in my explorations. I love to keep fit and enjoy reading, listening to podcasts/audiobooks and deep conversations. I’m also quite creative, enjoying woodwork, sketching and making music.
I work with body systems to help shift the emotional charge behind thought loops and feelings of stuckness. The aim is to help you gain awareness, clarity and insight on your situation, with which you can then choose to act on. I’ve found this often to be most available through a well regulated nervous system, which is why I work with a more bottom up, body first approach than a top down one. I do also work with language and communication though to help create a connection of safety and trust, so you can feel properly heard and understood, especially in places that can sometimes be difficult to express. We work on building psychological frameworks for understanding your past and present experience that diminish shame and restructure the internal narratives that will guide your future. Our relationship is founded in confidentiality and non judgment.
