Are you a parent looking for support for your child? Perhaps you have noticed that they are struggling in their day-to-day life, that they no longer engage in hobbies or family activities, or that they are finding the school environment difficult. Perhaps you are finding their behaviour difficult to manage and this is starting to impact the whole family. Or maybe you simply want to understand your child better. I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist offering psychological support and talking therapy for children and young people. Where appropriate, I also work directly with parents, helping you to find new ways of supporting your child. I work with a range of difficulties, from everyday problems through to more complex issues related to mental health and child development. Specific problem areas I can help with include- • Anxiety / stress • OCD • Phobias • Panic attacks • Low mood / depression • Anger, aggression, and behavioural problems • Support in managing problems associated with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) • Problems with relationships • Parent support I also offer NICE approved multidisciplinary autism assessments through Greenshoots.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ and I will adapt my approach to suit you, your child and your family. I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere in which positive change can come about. I work largely from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) perspective, but I also draw on Systemic Therapy and other therapeutic models to provide a bespoke approach. I understand that starting therapy can be daunting and therefore offer a free 20-minute online consultation for you and your child to get a sense of what our sessions will be like. Thereafter, sessions can be online or face to face.

I have over ten years' experience working in various mental health settings, in both the charitable sector and the NHS, and am trained to a doctoral level. Alongside my private practice, I currently work for an NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as a Senior Clinical Psychologist. Other services I have worked in include Health Psychology / Peadiatrics (diabetes team), Adoption CAMHS, forensic services, and inpatient services.
