Hello and a warm welcome to taking your first step towards feeling better and finding out how I can help you, or perhaps even a family member. I am an experienced therapist with person-centred core values, which means that your unique and individual needs, beliefs and choices are always at the heart of my work to help enhance your healing, empowerment and self-discovery in a way that benefits you the most. I specialise in working with adults, young people and teenagers. I have extensive experience working with a wide range of concerns, including general anxiety, social anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, narcissistic abuse, relationship / family issues, separation, infidelities, co-dependency, academic challenges, self harm, self worth, bullying, work place issues and more.

My approach is warm, supportive, collaborative and holistic. I offer a safe, non judgemental space of acceptance and empathy. At times I will gently challenge you to help establish more clarity and perspective on certain issues, whilst at the same time ensuring you are feeling supported throughout. My focus is you and my approach is tailored around drawing on your strengths and empowering you to step further into your authentic self. I am a human first and a counsellor second, so you can expect a humanistic approach when working with me, where all emotions are welcome. Whilst therapy can bring up to the surface a lot of pain and discomfort to be healed and released, it can also offer space for a lot of laughter and joy, and I work to offer a relationship that can experience the wholeness of you. Together we can work to help improve your well-being and help you make the changes in your life that you would like to happen. It can be an opportunity to explore your concerns with me, without judgement and in a way which you may not be able to do with your friends or family. Life at times can present extreme hardships and and challenges, and as a result our emotions can become incredibly hard to manage. I believe however, that when you are given a sense of being truly listened to and deeply understood, you can then begin to resolve the issues that are preventing you from gaining strength, moving forward and enjoying your life. I would like to offer you the opportunity to look at life in a different way with someone who will respect you and your thoughts, and it’s time devoted entirely to you. Thank you for being here and taking the time to read through my profile. You may decide I may or may not be the right person to support you at this time, but I wish you well on your healing journey. I have completed an FdSc in Person-Centred Counselling at the University of Brighton and I am a registered member of the B.A.C.P. I have worked for many years at state and private schools, colleges and universities as a school and parent counsellor, and as a student mentor to students of all ages. Over the past 5 years I have dedicated my time to my private practice supporting both adults and young people on a vast range of diverse issues. My work experience has included working for registered charities such as the Salvation Army Housing Association providing support to single and homeless people, Brighton Women’s Centre, helping facilitate groups for emotional support and well-being, counselling support at the Macmillan Cancer Support and as a Place2Be counsellor, a mental health charity supporting children and young people. I have also worked at length with single-parent families, the LGBTQ community and individuals who have suffered emotional and domestic abuse. My experience of working through many of my own internal challenges informs how I live and how I work as a counsellor now. I bring a wealth of both professional and personal life experiences that inform my practice and my ability to compassionately relate in a heartfelt manner to people from all different walks of life.
