Warmest of welcomes to my profile. I am a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Profession Council). I am also an accredited BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) CBT therapist. I work part-time as a CBT therapist for the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, providing psychological therapy to individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, stress, and burnout. I offer an initial free consultation to help you find out if you feel comfortable with me. It will also help me understand if my knowledge, skills, and experience fit your issues. I would also be happy to discuss a reasonable fee if you are interested in longer-term work. Therapy in English and Italian. WhatsApp: 07568 799906.
I take a flexible approach, integrating various therapeutic schools of thought to better tailor therapy to individual needs. I draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, clinical applications of the Attachment Theory, Person-Centred Theory, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I studied and started working as a psychologist in Italy ten years ago. I moved to Brighton in 2016 to have an experience abroad. I fell in love with the city atmosphere and permanently moved here. As a psychologist, I have come across many unique life experiences that have significantly contributed to my personal and professional development. I am particularly passionate about the long-term consequences of traumatic experiences, including abuse and neglect. As a therapist who primarily believes that a secure attachment is a decisive protective factor in traumatic life experiences, I greatly value the therapeutic relationship to build a safe space and promote changes.
