Mick is a BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and FDAP (Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals) registered counsellor. Police checked (DBS) counsellor and counselling supervisor. His qualifications include a BA Honours degree in Counselling Psychology, a Foundation degree in Person-Centred Counselling, Certificated CBT, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling Supervision. Mick is experienced in all aspects of addiction and eating disorders, self-harm, understanding depression, and working with dementia. Also completing level 3 training in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children. Having worked with substance misuse and alcohol dependency for the past 20+ years, Mick has gained valuable experience in helping addicts and alcoholics break free from their dependencies. Specialising in drug and alcohol dependency, and process addictions. He is also an experienced CAMHS refered youth counsellor with valuable knowledge into a young person’s internalised emotions leading to self-harm, and BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder). Work experience: Mick worked as Manager of a private Rehabilitation Centre in Surrey, YP (Young Person) Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor for East Sussex Carers.Today, alongside a busy private practice, he currently works as Counselling Supervisor for Emmaus Charity.
