Therapists
Creativity, dance and being in nature are of upmost importance to me. An animal lover I enjoy particularly bring around dogs and horses. You can also find me dangling of rock faces fairly often as a keen climber.
I trust that my client's body knows, I aim to be a fully present witness, helping them to feel, heard, seen and accepted. I offer guidance which enables them to hear their body and allow it to unfold with what is needed, staying with them where they are at. My work supports: -Releasing & managing feelings /overwhelm. -Resolving incomplete past experiences. -Seeing positives, opportunities & solutions. -Feeling at ease & alive in the now. -Gaining focus & clarity for next steps. -Expanding creativity with sound, movement, art & visualization integrated into sessions.
Starting out studying theatre and performance my interest grew along side in psychology, self development, yoga and meditation. A desire to use theatre more therapeutically lead me to train with Drama Therapist Dr Sue Jennings in NDP which brings together art, movement, play and drama as therapeutic mediums. More recently I have expanded by training in Somatic Experiencing which focuses on the body and it's inner "felt sense", accessing emotions or incomplete experiences, such as fight or flight situations, which were not fully lived out at the time. Accessing and fully discharging these can allow more presence, ease and aliveness. The approach compliments NDP as creative activities can be help with processing memories and emotions as well as being positive resources which enable the nervous system to settle and increase resilience.
