I am a HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist (Reg No. PYL31856). Since 2015, I have worked in primary and secondary mental health care, as well as inpatient services within the NHS. Currently, I work as a Senior Psychologist for Sussex Community Foundation NHS Trust providing psychological therapy for patients with long-term health conditions and practice privately in the Brighton and Hove area. I enjoy working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with a range of difficulties. I am interested in how our past relationships and experiences affect how we currently function in life. My particular interests are in mindfulness-based interventions, attachment informed and neurobiological approaches to psychological therapy. I draw on more than one type of approach to psychological therapy and tailor it to your needs and concerns. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), sensorimotor and neurobiological approaches to therapy. I am interested in how our past relationships and experiences affect how we currently function in life. Above all, I place importance on the quality of the therapeutic relationship and always endeavour to work in a safe, non-judgemental and empathic way. I value honesty, integrity, equality, compassion and genuine relationships. While there are no easy solutions, we can work together to find ways to help you build personal resilience and effective coping strategies.

On a more personal note, I was born in Burma (Myanmar) and moved to the U.K. when I was a young child. Growing up in two cultures has given me an appreciation of people from different backgrounds and identities, understand the challenges this can pose and helps me bring a grounded and practical approach to therapy.
