Hello, my name is Olivia and I am a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist. I appreciate and understand that life can be challenging and at times we may find ourselves out of control, struggling to cope and in emotional pain. Whatever the issue may be, therapy may help you to understand your experiences, feelings and thoughts. I believe in supporting my clients to recognise what is important to them and to live a life in line with their values. I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship as a healing process and I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel able to explore your difficulties in depth and increase your self-understanding in order to bring change and possibility. To help you take the next step on your journey, I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. This is an opportunity for you to share your particular difficulties and your hopes for therapy and for me to share more about how I work and the services I can offer you. If you decide you would like to continue, we can arrange subsequent sessions.

My work is underpinned by an integrative and relational approach to counselling, psychotherapy and psychology. I believe in working collaboratively and tailoring my approach to your individual needs. As an integrative practitioner, I am able to draw on my knowledge of humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, compassion focused (CFT) and cognitive behavioural (CBT) approaches to help reduce psychological distress and to enhance psychological well-being. I believe in an openness of practice and tailoring my approach to the unique and individual needs of the client. I work collaboratively with you to ascertain which way of working best suits your current needs. As a relational practitioner, I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship as a healing process. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel able to explore your difficulties in depth and where you can begin to increase your self-understanding in order to bring change and possibility. As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). My training and clinical experience spans counselling psychology and psychotherapy. I have worked within various third sector and NHS mental health services, and I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement, ADHD, gambling addiction, relationship issues and maternal mental health. I am currently in the final stages of doctoral training to become a BPS accredited Chartered Counselling Psychologist. I have completed the taught and clinical components of this PsychD programme at the University of Roehampton, with the doctoral research study remaining. This is due to be completed in 2024.
