Psychologist (MSc.) & Integrative Psychotherapist
Children and Adolescent Integrative Behavioural Psychotherapist Training
I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I believe that childhood and adolescence should be characterised by carefreeness and happiness. High quality therapy and living a good life goes beyond overcoming challenges and fixing problems. It’s about thriving! Living a life of meaning that you are proud of, and feeling accepted and valued for who you are. I have more than 600 hours of experience in providing short and long-term therapy for children, young people and their families (age range 6-25 years). I can provide therapeutic support for difficulties such as ADD/ADHD, Adjustment Difficulties, Aggressive Behaviour, Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, OCD, Self-Harm and more.
I aim to build a positive therapeutic relationship founded upon understanding and appreciation for the individual person and their circumstances. This enables me to work effectively in highly individualised, collaborative and creative ways to benefit clients. My therapeutic work is rooted in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) but as an integrative therapist I am able to draw on a number of different models and flexibly adapt my approach to meet the particular needs of individual clients.
I am a psychology graduate and prior to training as a psychotherapist I worked as a Healthcare Assistant and Assistant Psychologist within the NHS in both Adult and Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
